Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an Oil & Gas Group to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for its operations in Nigeria

Job description
The Supply Chain Officer will have the responsibility of managing the interface between the Company’s International Procurement and its Nigerian EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects ensuring that all procured materials are delivered and/or warehoused in a timely and systemised way and that both materials and services are then delivered to the required EPC project site when required. He/she is to report to the Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:

    The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for active contribution of the alignment of the Project Execution Strategies with the Project Sourcing Strategies
    Assume responsibility for all Project (EPC material and equipment) Sourcing Strategies on current and future projects
    Ensuring of sound contract and contract administration on all contracts
    Assume responsibility for contract change management, claim and dispute resolution in terms of contractual agreed mechanisms and deviation management and approvals outside of contract mechanisms
    Responsible for input into and improvement of the tools (standard contracts, templates etc) enabling efficiency and compliance
    Involvement in the development of integrated cross functional ERP systems,
    Creation and implementation of project SCM activity plan
    Identification of areas of concern, risk, opportunities and value options and reporting such to the Project Director as well as recommending course of actions
    Management of the physical and financial performance of the supply chain
    Leading and monitoring of all purchasing and subcontracting and delivery of logistics planning efforts
    Reviewing and approval of ITT’s and evaluation
    Setting of Project policies and standards
    Review of requisitions as well as review and scrutiny of scope of work and requirements
    Management of key relations
    Participation in and supporting the Head of Procurement and/or Lead Buyer in complex negotiations and contract finalisations
    Arrangement of quality control for vendors and sub contractors
    Successful implementation of systems including ERP, bar coding etc
    Leading all aspects of FEED and detailed design bid document preparation, pre-qualification, tendering and contract execution and management
    Functioning as an interface between the clients and client legal and contract groups to finalise contract documents


Qualifications and Experience

    BA/BSc/MBA degree in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent
    Must have ten to fifteen years experience in Supply Chain Management within Industrial settings preferably Oil and Gas
    Must have strong EPC contract drafting and negotiation and project execution skills
    Must have strong grasp of Capital Project Supply chain Fundamentals
    Strategic thinker possessing business acumen and people/leadership skills
    Must have broad knowledge of the supply chain in an EPC project environment
    Must have knowledge of facilities management, cost control, cost/benefit analysis, productivity improvement and work simplification, import/export local content and tax and VAT requirements
    Must have sound legal knowledge of the contracting environment and able to contextualise in project contracts
